NOLA Track Day February 11-12
Track Tactics is kicking off the season with two days at the brand new NOLA Motorsports Park. Word is that there will be some AMA Pro racers (Skip Salenius, Mark Junge, Cory West, Jeremy Dunn, and Jake Morman)there coaching to help us mere mortals. As well as the suspension guru Dave Moss to help remind us how little we really know about our bikes. I'm rushing to get the hawk prepped. Will I see any other VTR's out there?

Little teaser NOLA TRACKDAY EDIT - YouTube
That's the 1.8 mile course, we'll be running the 2.75 mile layout. Should be awesome!

What a great weekend at NOLA Motorsports Park. The weather was not ideal but TrackTactics put on a great show; the staff, instructors, and most importantly the riders did and awesome job. Weather was high of 53 on Saturday and 50 on Sunday. Windy and cold, but only one red flag and no ambulance runs all weekend. It was really an All Star weekend, with top AMA Pro racers, Dave Moss, and Joe Salas, to name a few.
The track.... Fast... Wide... Fun! Could have fooled me if you told me I just flew into a new European track. Lots of line options and flowing nature should make for some great racing. The fast guys were doing 1:50's, that's a 2.75 mile course in under 2 minuets. Can't imagine what it will be like when some rubber is layed down and the weather warms up.

All the instructors and control riders ready to brave the cold.
Chris Peris' bikes waiting for some passangers
Dave Moss setting up the first bike of the day, all while wearing shorts in 30 degree weather.
Just some of the awesome crew that made the weekend special, including Skip Salenius and Chris Peris. I guess the other AMA guys wanted to stay in bed a little while longer.
