Newbie with a ECM location question

I just got my first Superhawk after years of VFR's. I'm pretty sure the prior owner moved some stuff around. Does anyone have a pic of where the ECM is supposed to be located. It was just kinda loose directly under the seat. I see the two slot tabs but no where to put them.
Thanks in advance !

Towards the rear under the seat - Download the VTR1000F Honda Service Manual PDF for reference

Just to be clear, the VTR1000F has two electronic boxes
An Ignition control module (ICM)
I think that is what your referring to

and a Converter unit
Which is what works with other components to create the signal sent to the coils.

The ICM on all models is under the seat, rear most near the tail light.

The Converter unit on early bikes is in the same location, double stacked with the ICM in a rubber holder.
on 2001 and later bikes it is on the right side of the sub frame under the cowl

Hole that helps

It's a 2003 Yep I keep seeing the pics of the double stack but the wiring harness, which doesn't look hacked, is about 12" too short. There's a chance this has the rear subframe of a 1998 but there's not enough wire length to reach the right side. I'll grab a pic of what I've got going

The ICU should go on the rear fender..See blue arrow AND circle
The rubber holder for the ICU has two slots that fit over and onto the plastic posts in the blue circle.
The thing I circled in red is a speedo corrector if you were not aware

Came here looking for a mounting location and left with that and a speedo corrector. Bonus.

I found a 01-05 subframe on eBay (Most advertise 98-05)... the pic shows where the ECM goes on the right side outboard of the subframe... The combo of the 2003 wiring harness with a 1998 rear subframe just doesn't let you put the ECM in either place.... I got a response from the prior owner, he said he did replace the rear subframe .... So I've got that going for me. Just wondering if its worth buying the right subframe to get the wires to go to the right place
