Hi all. I just wanted to introduce myself. I'm Rene (whoa, slow down there Bob, I'm a boy Rene). I live in Eugene, Oregon, and I've been riding street bikes since I was 16 (21 years now).
I bought a SH last week (98, 28K, moded front and rear suspension, heli bars, windscreen, tail pack, ignition advancer, jet kit and D & D slip on, front and rear stands, factory maint. book and Sargent seat for $3500). So far I like it, though the tranny seems to jump in 2nd gear between 25-35mph or ~4000 rpm.
I've had around 50 other motorcycles between my first (76 CB125) and my last (07 GSXR1000), with my favorite being my 98 VFR800 and 91 VFR750, respectively.
Any suggestions on tires? There are some race take off on the bike now, but they will be gone in a matter of 2-3 more rides. I always liked the Pilot Powers in the past.
