new bikes

i was at the cycle world motorcycle show last month and i've been thinking if i had unlimited cash, what other bike would i want. it would be a cbr1000rr. what about you guys? if you could have any other bike, what would it be? just thought it would be cool to see what everyone else likes in the bike world.

Super Duke, and a Harley Night Train, and a FJR1300 and umm a pair of dirt bikes, plus a adventure tourer of some type (GS1200 perhaps), and a 1098 to round it all off.

I'd be thinking about a Norton NRV588. Rotary engine 170HP, weight 130 KG
Pretty sharp looking too.

Smile Ducati 998R

Most definately the Ducati 998R. Her looks are timeless despite her cosmetic age - got a bad thing for women older than me anyway.
Got the pic' from link: http://www.bikeintro.com/ducati-998-r/

Greg,

Nice call on the Norton....

Has anyone ridden a Norton F1 or a Suzuki RE5 ?? A Rotary Engine seems like a good powerplant for a bike...I've owned 3 different RX-7s and the power delivery makes sense for a bike.

I love the color scheme on the old Norton Racers!

divingindaytona is an unknown quantity at this point
I may be a little odd here, but with unlimited funds I go old school and new school.

First up on the list would be a 1950 Vincent Black Shadow

Second would be a kaw zrx1200

Third would be a Ducati 900SS. I would buy a TL1000 motor and put it in the 900ss frame.

Fourth would be a RC30

And the 5th would be a Honda VFR pre v-tec

I was at the IMS on Friday here outside of Chicago. I will say I was pretty impressed with the ZX10, the Ducati 848, Hypermotard and a beautiful Roland Sands design Hypermotard. I also really liked a custom Star Roadliner. The Benelli looked like something out of the Transformers movie, it was amazing, although I have heard they are pretty much garbage and there is no dealer service network.

The B-King made me want to vomit and I was not impressed with the new Hyabusa. I liked the ZX14 better. I was also not thoroughly impressed with the MZ Agusta Brutale. I love the look of it, but the guages looked cheap. I guess I just expected more out of a 15k bike (I'd still take one though).

The Yamaha R1 with the Fiat body package was ultra cool looking. I was not blown away by the Honda dislpay at all. Thats ok I'm happy with my bird.

Isn't that the Bol d'or CB1000 special edition?? It's made for the endurance race at Paul Ricard or Magny-Cours in France...

I think it's on the game Tourist Trophy too...I guess you can take it for a test ride on your PS2.

Sorry...You may have been talking about the other one. It looks like a CB1000 cafe racer type or something.
