need fuel tank

I am looking for a complete fuel tank for a 98 vtr1000. My lock cylinder for my fuel cap is broken. I know i don't a tank to fix that but i was looking for a tank anyway because the one i have is resealed. any help would be appreciated. I could some suggestions for good quality parts links

Welcome aboard. For finding used parts like a tank, searching the classifieds here or posting a "wanted to buy" ad are good starts. Also check out ebay as there are usually several tanks on there in various conditions. A brand new one just sold a day or two ago... If you want brand new factory parts you're going to pay for them but check out ronayers.com (I'm sure there are other places) which is significantly cheaper than the dealer.

As long as you're that close by, I have a couple tanks that I would consider selling. One is the tank that's on the bike now. If you want cheap I got one of those too. Cap is messed up but have all the parts. Good candidate for a sealant job. I think all these tanks are complete with petcock and maybe hoses. I also think all the grommets are in place.
