Mountainbiking in 105F
Just got back from a 17mile mtb ride. The speedo read 105* by the end (started at 99).
NYC is like one big parking lot as the sun heats things up. I used to do rides like this in full winter gear to prepare for full leathers racing but have switched to lighter gear.
Still think its the best training to ride a motorcycle as you train your balance and riding muscles too.
You just gotta stay hydrated.

Did you mead we (east) have you beat for humidity? I always hear Az is a dry heat. Right now (5:30 pm) the heat index is 97 and its 46% humidity. My pool water is 90!!!
And smokinjoe, you must be totally soaked in about 1 minute!!

Nah I just looked up NYC when I said that- they're at 24%, we're at 30% right now- but current thunderstorms are bringing in the lower temps (98*) but jack our humidity up. I'll take our standard 110* and 9% humidity over this anyday! Can't cool off even at speed on the 'Hawk!

Oh, yeah, my bicycle speedo has a thermometer. NYC readings you see are kinda fake cuz they are usually central park, which has tons of shrubberies to cool it down.
I then rode the hawk from Queens through Brooklyn into Manhattan. I soaked my under armor shirt with water before I left and it was dry by the time I got there wearing a mesh jacket.
The air in the midtown tunnel was 111*F. That was the worst part. I turned the hawk off and coasted for the first downhill half of the tunnel (to not overheat)
