low mount pipes + plastic hugger =

changed my mid pipes from high mounts to lows ( foot was resting on the highs). and saw this at the end of a ride

the sides of the hugger melted a little and it drooped down, now i have a chicken strip to work off again.

wow. that sucks. Is that a carbon fiber slip-on? I thought they ran cooler than metal. What's all this melting have to do with chicken strips?

they are MIG carbons fibers, theyre still quite warm, but the mid pipe did most of the melting.

that notch you see in the hugger isnt supposed to be there, that was caused by the tire scraping it. and it took a little tire with it, causing the left edge looking brand new.

Oh that explains the strips. I figured the notch was due to heat but didn't get the tire rub..what are you going to do now? get rid of the hugger?

What do you plan on doing with the high mount midpipe? Would it work with a set of stock pipes? Looking to sell?
