looking at a buying a hawk
I am in the process of looking at a 99 hawk -
21k on the odometer - is that high? my CBR blew with 36k on the odometer - it is a Honda
original r/r and cct's - easy enough fixes
needs a new front tire
decent overall shape for a 10 year old bike - $2800
What do you think, should I get it or run for the hills.

Sounds like a good deal...I bought a 98 with 23K on it for 3K a couple years ago (it had a lot of mods done to it), but I've put over 8K on it since then with no problems...like you said..it's a Honda, so as long as it's been taken care of, and not crashed at all...go for it, you'll love the torque of this bike....test ride would definitely be a good idea, get it up to speed on the highway to be sure there's no vibrations anywhere....enjoy
