Just wanted you all to look out for them deer. I all most took out two doe this morning on the way to work. It was 6:30am, still dark out here in MN. I always take the back roads to work, alot of farm fields. After making a turn and accelerating to the "posted speed limit" a doe ran out in front of me, about 30'. Thank God I was not going too fast(about 45 mph). I hit the brakes, but not too hard. I knew that deer usually don't run alone. So as I concentrated on the first doe, hoping it kept on running in it's current direction, another doe ran in between the bike & the first doe. I had to hit the brakes hard. It's scary when you can actually hear their hoofs on the pavemnet. It seemed like I was only about 1' from hitting the second doe. I didn't soil the shorts, but was a little gun shy for the next couple miles. I have been searching the forum for several days for an upgrade on the headlight. Now I think I should do it ASAP. "Hey, be careful out there."

 

they have been out all year round here... they travel in packs.
