Intermitent Blinker Issue

I did search and read through the other posts about this problem so please don't slam me just offering up how I fixed mine. I started having the issue last night with the flasher relay blinking really quick but the lights would not blink. I would fiddle with the switch back and forth and it work but only one side then it would act up again. So today I took apart the entire switch and got a battery terminal cleaner you know the small metal brush and i used that to scrub off all the crap on the actual switch. Then i spray a little wd40 inside the switch and used a tood brush and scrubbed inside the switch really good and got rid of all the grease and dirt in there and then dried everything with a clean rag. Reassemble and problem solved.

Sounds good. Where do I go to get a tood brush?

WD 40 evaporates in a coupla weeks or so. Try 'Teflon' brand spray lube, when the carrier agent dries the teflon left behind is slick as snot and remains a long time. Works great on chains too, and doesn't attract road smut.

Another good idea is to get some "dielectric" grease on the contacts to protect them from corrosion.
