Identify this motorcycle marque
Nope but it is a single cylinder ring-ding, and BSA made a copy of I believe a pre-WW2 German DKW called the Bantam.
However, no one has guessed correctly yet. Keep trying for one more day.

It does really look like a JAWA though http://physiology.usouthal.edu/resto...homason354.jpg

OK, what it's not:
1. Any of the DKW RT 125 knock-offs, such as BSA Bantam etc;
2. Indeed, any 125, I would have thought, though scale is hard to work out without some other references in the pic. So a 50 like the Kriedler Florett is out.
3. Any of the CZ/JAWA or Easterns along those lines, because there are separate kickstart and gear levers on concentric shafts, by the looks.
4. Spanish looks out to me; the bigger Bultacos, Montesas, and OSSAs did not arrive until after the era of this one, I think, and I am sure they didn't make anything as chunky looking as this. It has a distinctly Germanic/Eastern European look to me.
5. I don't think it's as far East as a Voskhod, but it could be one of those from the 1960s (ie a decade later than I have been thinking so far).
6. Nor do I think it's British at all. Too chunky and too styled all at once for their efforts, to my eye.
Could be an Adler from before the 250 twins of the mid 1950s (wish I could work out the logo on the primary drive cover).
