Got my 98 on 01/19/2013 for $1650 with 46k miles, minor cosmetic blemishes, might of been from a northern state, needed chain, sprockets, and soon a front tire. Has new rear tire, new rear brake pads, Corbin seat plus the guy included a new set of EBC brake pads for both front calipers and a full oil change.

Metallic Blue 1998 (maybe not the fastest color, but the one the chicks like the most) 48000 KMs (30000 miles).
Manual CCTS, two seats (stock and Sargent) two windshields (stock and dbl bubble) two-piece magnetic tank bag. Super clean, one quarter-size dent in one stock can. Will need chain and sprockets soon.
Bought summer of 2012 for $2950

Hi,
looks like Honda use the same crappy CCTS all over the world. With the original CCTS from Honda there is a big chance of sudden death for the valves. It seems to be mandatory to change the CCTS. So this is a part of the price for the SHawk. Changed my CCTS to a secure automatic version.

I got one a few weeks back for $2300. It has 32k on it. I really dont like how the exhaust fit is. Kinda loose and has a crappy pipe for the slip ons to attach too. It is starting to rust. I rode it yesterday to work. 42 miles and it was 7 degree F, must warmer on the ride home at 22 F.

Space Gangsta
Squid
1900 credits off of Craigs List w/t 17,500 Original miles and I am the 3rd owner.
Though it was gonna be a POS but, other than a few electrical hiccups and the irritating stalling problem, she was a good deal. Never dumped or crashed.
10 inch extended swing arm and loaded with more than a few aftermarket goodies.
Went from a HD Fat Bob to a VTR and I ain't looking back. Except for the poor souls in my mirrors as I pass them. Bwwahahahah!
Currently under construction (New pics will be posted when complete)
Once more the Sith will ride again.

99 SH
Just bought a Yellow 99 SH for $2,100. w/21K miles. Needed a new seat rail, and headlight, has a large dent in gast tank where it has been dropped. Did not know about the seat rail until I got it home. . .was too excited after riding to pay much attention. The guy was asking $2,500 and said it was perfect. 2 Brothers pipes and K&N. New back tire with a nail in it

I got my 98 in 00 for just a tick over 8K. It was new, still in the crate from the dealer.
A couple weeks later, I found an extra special surprise in the air box. A couple dead mice were previously using my air box as a home as well as feeding on it and the air filter. Honda gave me a new box and filter.
Of course this discovery was made in the presence of some riding buddies so there was no shortage of "mouse killer" jokes to follow.

Hi all, brand new to Superhawk and the forums. Just bought my 2003 Blue Hawk off of an older guy from Craigslist. Great condition 17k miles, a custom seat, tuned suspension, two brothers exhaust, pilot power tires, fender eliminator, and some other small goodies for $3500 I think it was a good deal. Right now on craigslist (I'm in Texas) there is a 2005 one with 23,838 miles for 5k sold by a dealer.

I paid $1500 for a 98 with 1400 miles on it that had sat in a garage for 9 years. Sadly, sitting that long created big issues. Carbs were the least of them. CCT failed after 30 miles! It's got new pistons, valves, head work, exhaust, jetting etc. etc. I'm in it for about 3.5k and it's better than new. 7k on it now and it screams.
I'll be taking your situation to heart and replacing the CCTs before I ride it. Also looking into the R/R replacement, new tires, carb cleaning, and a new battery.

Purchased mine two months ago, 20k miles, flush mount turn signals, aftermarket adjustable levers, aftermarket bar ends, repaint, aftermarket cans, newer Continental tires, for Honda Magna (Trade) and $500 cash. Total investment is $2k including purchase price of the Magna two years ago...that bike was the good deal, this one was not so good. Noticed a bit of damage to the swing arm (after purchase) from the previous owner who installed the new exhaust but didn't clearance the pipes properly...it had some "rubbing"...sad...oh well, anyone want to sell a swing arm?

1999 with 17K miles, (has 40K on it now). I bought in 2010 for 2K on criagslist. I am the third owner. It had the Jardine RT-1 cans fitted and braided front brake lines, other than that it was stock with very minor cosmetic flaws. Seller had all work done at local shop just before I purchased it which included new battery, brakes, tires, and clutch. He also tossed in two helmets, set of gloves, 3 jackets, and cover. Great deal for me at the time and I have been tweaking and modding ever since.

I am the second Owner, I purchased the 98" with 25k miles for $2500. I have invested ~ $1000 in new fairings + repaint gas tank + MCCT + Mosfet RR + Oil + Chain + Ditching K&N + Reverting Carbs back to a GOOD setup..... All work done myself!
I didn't want a "used" looking bike. This 98 looks great and I have the original fairings to sell for some extra $$.
