Bought my '05 new in August, 2005 for just over $9,000 out the door. That was $1500 off list. Worth every penny, with 47,174 miles and just about as many smiles since then.
I had a hard time even finding one to look at. They were so unpopular that the dealer wouldn't even get one in unless I put down a $500 deposit, which I did gladly, since I knew it was going to be the bike for me.

Bought my 00 with 1,200 miles in 02 for 5,100. Bought it on Ebay "accidentally", then had to drive to N.J to pick it up, bike was absolutely mint, and bone stock aside from sharkskinz lower added on.

Wow, you got a better deal than I did. $7600 OTD in early 2004 for a left over 2002, which I thought was decent since MSRP was $8900. She's track-only now, but has over 40k on the clocks and pulls as strong as when she was new.

I was killing time on a rainy day in a used bike dealer's showroom in 2008. I found my 2003 SH with 1800 miles, bone stock. Talked the dealer down $300 bucks and paid $6000, which I figured to be $1000 over what a Craigslist sale would be. Next day, it seemed, the economy tanked and my bike's worth plummeted to about $3000! But, I told myself, the VTR sold new for about $8000, mine was "like new" for only $6000. Oh well, it's still my baby.

$2,000 for a '98 in 2007. Had about 27K miles, minor road rash, and a broken turn signal. Had typical mods (exhaust, undertail, signals). Later I found out the R/R was bad. The motor ran perfectly though (and still does).

Got my 98 Superhawk with 8700 miles on it, carbon fiber clutch and brake handles, LED brake light and sequential turn signals, two brothers carbon fiber exhaust. Bought it July of 2010 for $3000 including a nice stand.

11/2010 a '98 with 5800 mi. broken windshield, faring damage, broken brake MC res. Shined up real nice. Most fun I've had with $1700.

'98 - 23,xxx- APE CCTs, Full M4 stainless cans, 15/43, Finned R/R, Black&Red Scheme (the most awesome! sorry red+yellow guys =p) q2s on rear with 1k on them, ss. braided lines, dynojet kit+K/N (tuned professionally), custom rearsets and new x-link chain with >100km on it. tankbra and ogio tankbag.
Came custom with bad battery and ECU =p
Best $2200 I've ever spent.
Best 1k lineup, f4i front end swap, projector HID (already installed), Mich. Pures when the q2s go bad, fox shock, shorty cans and new riding gear!

Well, we weren't married at the time, so there wasn't much to say. I had been looking around for one at the time and didn't see any under 6k, saw this one at 5 and threw a bid in for 5500, figuring i'd be outbid but at least I gave it a shot. I wish I had a camera on me for the last minute of the auction, when nobody else bid. Spent the next day at the credit union getting a loan, then drove for about 6 hours to get it. Luckily this was before most scammers heard of eBay, and everything went smooth.

too much! 2500, came home in the truck with 8,xxx miles, sorta ran, almost no stock plastics, had been down on both sides, was in the process of being tracked, etc, etc, but it had microns, supposedly a timing advance, a pile of parts, and i still love it to death, hoping to see 100k out of her!

Paid 2K in Oct 2010. 23k on bike 12k on post cct engine. Brand new 2CTs, chain, sprocket, stearing damper, Sargent seat, smoked DB and RS3 slip ons. I love it. I have owned many bikes, but this is great!
