Sounds like a great deal, there's a place in Missouri selling 2003 leftovers for $5899. So if your local guy has one year newer for 100 bucks more I'd say ****** it up! 
I think retail on new is still $8999 so your getting the same bike for $3000 less!!

Which dealer in MO? I'm in Dallas, but it might be worth the trip. I've found a 2003 here locally for $6K, but the seller is pretty firm on price (bike has 2K miles, one-owner purchased new in late 2004, mint).

They have lowered the price to 5899.00. Get the out the door price, they can add quite a bit for set up and freight. I dealt with a guy at the Columbia store who is charge of ebay sales and got mine out the door for $5999.00. They have got a good price on 2004 RC51's also.

Did they try to stick you with with add on fees? I know of a couple people who got pissed at them for all the fees they tried to add. Fortunately they did'nt do that to me.
