Hi,
Also with Valve Seals and all O-rings.
Good thread for VTR1000F (97-99) owners.
Thanks

You could buy the whole motor for that much.

Well that is what I am trying to find out I will have to look more online. I think it comes in two sets from Honda. Money saved is money for gas as long as I keep it away from the GF. I found out a new way to keep her from getting mad at me when I buy parts. when she asked how much that is I just say about 8 bucks no mater what I buy. She just gives up. LOL

I just answer "One pair of shoes..." or "Two pair of shoes..." my GF has given up on that discussion a long time ago, she just rolls her eyes at me...

Though in my defence, I have twice now build larger storage space for shoes in our combined closet, one of the times giving up part of my space for it... And I own a total of 10 shoes including riding boots and snowboard shoes...

That would change if there was no "sex and the city". That show really preached the more shoes message.
Another way to justify bike parts purchase is to point out that paying for the work to be done would basicly make the whole deal a freebee. Like my tire changer; it was ostensibly free since tire changes are expensive and unavoidable.
Its easier for me since the hawk is my main transportaion.
My wife wouldn't have become my wife if she was a shoe chick. She wouldn't even think of asking me to go shopping. Gotta draw the lines before you tie the knot
Now as far as driving the inlaws around, I forgot to negotiate that one.....

(yeah slight thread jack... stumpy. why you buying all the gaskets at once?)

Rebuilding a motor soon. well taring it apart anyway but I have the pistons, the heads are done with a flow bench and new cams just making an engine stand bracket to use on a cheep engine stand I have. Now I need to get it apart and see what I need and start picking up the parts needed to put it back together when its done just switch the motors out.
