I had sent a msg to user Hawkrider about volunteering to be a moderator (although i'm relatively new here) back in march, specifically for removing spam posts.
I check in to the forums i'm part of atleast once a day. I also voluntarily moderate/admin another car enthusiast forum and have grown to distaste spam.
Over there I finally had to block all new users trying to create an acct with a protomail acct, since that is what they were using to register.

They'll (the spam bots) move on eventually if their posts get no activity.

I've been here since almost day 1, except for a couple of years between Greg closing Runlevelzero and discovering this, his latest forum.

I told Greg you and are are willing to be moderators and attack the spambots
