Favorite Roads on a SuperHawk!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm blessed here in Colorado with some fantastic roads. But I'm curious, we have forum members all over the world, what are some of your favorite roads, wherever you are, we should all share them, pics, awesome destinations or stopping points, places to eat, etc. etc.

Some of the road in the Kettle Moraine area of Southeastern Wisconsin are pretty fantastic.

A blend of high speed benders, tight technical areas, rolling hills, just a overall nice blend to let the V-twin live

I'm leaving northern California to ride to Oshkosh, Wisc. on Friday. I'm blasting up highway 80 till I get past Reno, but from there I'd like to ride backroads as much as possible. My general route is posted at my site, www.moto.aero. I would really appreciate any input on great roads along the way, and especially on great diners/roadside food. Should take about 40 hours of riding each way, I need diners to look forward to relaxing in between stretches of awesome roads! Thanks.

PS check out www.pashnit.com for great west coast roads, and www.motorcycleroads.com seems more eastern. But I don't have much in the middle.

AFM -

Check out this road if possible in Wisconsin -

http://www.motorcycleroads.com/route...WI/WI_12.shtml

South of Oshkosh by about 90 miles, but you could hit it up on the way up or down.

My favs here is XX in Wisconsin. There are also a ton of cool roads that run on both sides of the Mississippi. Go up by La Crosse, Redwing and Lake Pepin. There are tons of sweepers with excelent views.

You'll be missing some fantastic riding, if you take 80 across the Sierra Nevada.

Here are a couple of suggestions:

1. Take HWY 49 north off I-80. Take 49 all the way over Yuba Pass to HWY 89. Take a swim in the Yuba River just outside of Nevada City, before you cross the bridge and ride twisties until you're sick of it. Then you can go north to Quincy for lunch. then HWY 70 to HWY 395. Your choice from there.

2. Head north on HWY 99/Hwy 70 to Oroville and take HWY 162 to Bucks Lake and down to Quincy. Wear your knee pucks. there's a really good side road near Bucks lake, but I can't remember the name -incredible corners - very few cars.

Hwy 93 in Idaho/Western Montana would be very cool. I've never ridden it. Watch for elk and moose in the road.

Have a great trip!

And the road that leads over to it from Robbinsville, NC is a favorite too, but in a different way.

SF Bay here; 84 to Hwy 1, Pescadero rd to Hwy 1, Stage rd., Skyline (all), Palomares, Hwy 17, Hwy 4 past Copperopolis all the way to 89, Hwy 9 from Saratoga to Santa Cruz. Hwy 1 (any and all, the coast is beautiful up here), 128 from 505 to 29, and last but not least Vasco out to Antioch.

+1 on Sunrise Highway.

I almost hit an 8 point buck there 2 years ago, a couple of miles south of the General Store. Good thing I was showing my wife lines through the corners, or I would have been going faster and would have nailed him (and me) for sure.

Nice map Coaster.

You beat me to it! Man, I miss riding the hills with the SBR guys/gals. I wish I had some pics to share.

If anyone here is new to that area or visiting in the future, check out Alice's restaurant at the intersection of 35 and 84 - massive poser gathering on the weekends. The San Gregorio General Store is another great spot for a break.

Highway 1 up along the Marin Headlands is historic beauty, too. The Sunday Ride still goes, but I think it's smaller these days.

I know of some really good roads in Norway, but no one cares about that, do you...?

And by the way, the fuel can in the picture is borrowed from the farmer in the background, when I ran out

My favorite road on a FireStorm is the "Col de la bonette" in south france ...
Here is the profile from this road.
http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedi...il_Bonette.png

It is a part of the "Rue de grand alpes" which is absolutely fantastic here in europe.
If anyone chooses to make a vacation on a bike in Europe, please try the whole or parts of this road.
