For the LAST TIME.. Yellow.

Of all the stock colors, it is the lightest.. and therefore the fastest. Stock.

All right guys, now I know you all like your particular colour scheme. But you've all got to face facts, Black has less co-efficient drag, is slicker, attracts the fast women, and is just generally the fastest colour...

my hawk was red (fastest!) when the previous owner hit a deer. I got red (fastest!) front plastic to fix. black (fastest!) front fender. yellow (lightest AND fastest!) tail plastic. painting it rattle can black (fastest!) and dark green (oops?). old front fender even has fur (fast enough to make up for the dark green?) stuck in it from the deer! Mines gotta be fast!

Sorry gents but it's the dark midnight blue that was only available on the non-US-bound Firestorms (which I conveniently and coincidentally happen to own). I have it from a good source that it was purposely never brought into the US for fear of litigation issues (they had looked at making obligatory riding courses for buyers but even that didn't get the lawyers off their backs so they eventually just offered the slower colours, you know, the yellows, reds, blacks...)

Anyhow, that's my story and I'm sticking to it, lol

Of course it is, by nearly a 2 to 1 margin no less (at the time of this post)
No need to...

Pink Polk A Dots only has one vote so far, I am amazed.

Red is the most common color so it can't be the fastest, Black isn't a color, it is the absence of color, thus Yellow is the fastest color.

Ah, well...you know, I visit once per day. I don't have a cushy desk job with easily accessible internet like the rest of you slobs.

That was kinda unfair, wasn't it? At least I put my 996 votes in, and that's a good number around here!

Seems I may have accidentally killed the thread though..........

Anybody who knows aerodynamics know fur is faster. It works like a golf ball by creating a small boundary of turbulent airflow near the surface which actually helps the air from separating from the bike. Without this you experience some buffeting at high speeds as the air separates. I believe plaid flannel would operate the same as fur. I'll let everyone know once I have applied it.

However since I live in California perhaps I should paint it Pink with Pink polka dots.
