Epic Ride Nor Cal! (At least for me)
Hey guys
Well the hawk and I went for an ride on saturday so I figured that I would share my route with you! I live in northern california so here is the route. MSN maps was great at helping me get the mileage after the fact! My buddy was riding his MV Agusta Brutale (shorter range than the hawk) We started at 7 am and got back to my buddies place at 10:30pm We stopped for breakfast in at a place where 121 and 128 meet the corner store, some coffee in middletown and then had lunch in Fort Bragg and then some dinner at his place in Stonyford. What a day to spend a saturday!
Leg
1 Vacaville ca -- Pope Valley
2 Pope Valley to Middletown
3 Middletown to Hopland
4 Hopland to Ukiah
5 Ukiah to Boonville
6 Boonville to Manchester
7 Manchester to Fort Bragg
8 Fort Bragg to Leggett
9 Leggett to Alton
10 Alton to Red Bluff
11 RedBluff to Willows to Stonyford (sleep)
The total distance was right around 475 miles miles and for the most part other than the leg from Redding to Willows and Leggett to Alton was spent on the side of the tire. If you live on nor cal and can ride any portion of this I would totally recommend the highway 36 leg from Alton to Red Bluff. The Boonville to Manchester leg on Mtn view road is out of this world and very demanding! Middletown to Hopland is also just crazy. Well I am tired and need to go rest my back side!
