DUH!
Here's one for the "not so smart" files. I got a great deal on ebay for a set of Galfer brake lines for the hawk. Received them in the mail, noticed how pretty they looked, and tucked them away on the workbench until I had an opportunity to install them.
Well, since I have a track day coming up, I figured it was time to get them out. After looking at them and scratching my head for a moment, I realized I didn't have banjo bolts or washers. Never even THOUGHT about looking for that.

So I guess you are switching from stockers? Not for nothin but man you shouldn't be doing track rides on stock spongy lines. Are you still on stock original tires? This is one time a ride to a shop may work. They tend to have alot of them lying around.

Stock ones will not fit the fittings at the ends of the galfer lines.....well...at least I don't think so. I should check to be sure, but I know the master cylinder side won't because it switches to a double fitting instead of single and the line splitting farther down. I didn't pull off the bolts at the caliper last night becuase I wasn't sure I'd be able to get things set up properly for my upcoming track day. It's kind of a moot point now, because I'm going to order new ones and new washers for both top and bottom anyway.

I bought these off ebay. although they look very clean, they were used. only cost me 20 bucks shipped though. Looks like the HEL bolts will fit up just fine and that set is going to cost me 13 shipped, so overall, 35 bucks for a set of lines isn't too bad.

hm yeah my galfers came with hardware too (for the rc51) but i almost went with the original steel banjos for the "what if" factor in case of a crash--steel would hold up better.
completely forgot that this is probably a double line setup rather than a t. my mistake.
