+1 for state farm. $20 a month full coverage. 34 years old, clean record. Have multi car discount but it doesn't apply towards bike premium. They told me the rates are lower because they assume it's parked for most of the year due to oregon weather.

No one mentioned Esurance. I was progressive for years but switched last year.
47, 25yrs riding, clean record
liability @ 300/500 and medical payments - $70/yr.
Everything else I have (cars, house) is through state farm, but compared to progressive or Esurance they have always been way high

32, no Motorcycle class, 2 tickets in past 3 years, live in CO so don't have the winter break clause
Allstate - $30/mo full coverage (Bought the bike new, still paying it off) along with other policies through Allstate.

When I first bought the hawk, American Family wanted $150/mo claiming it was a full on sportbike. I switched insurance companies QUICK.

The US insurance thing is really bizarre i have to say!

I live in the uk, got my first ever bike and it cost me for everything £100 That was a bandit 600. now i have the firestorm it costs me £190 all in.

We have a simple 3 elements of insurance, Third Party only covers you and the person/s you have an accident with, Then theres Third party fire and theft, as above but as it explains added, Then Finally, Fully comprehensive covers you the bike, others involved or simply if you fall off in the driveway lol.
I know its not much help for you guys in the US, but i thought i'd share the comparisons.
