Do I need to be sober for this?

So my name is Brian from WI and this past Thursday i picked up my 98 SH.

So in search of knowledge I found this board and figured I better sign up since I dont know $hit about these bikes, all I now about it is I love the tq and the noise this thing makes.

Now that I have that out of the way I will apologize for future dumb @$$ questions about things I probably should already know.

Anyways heres some pics of it.............

The bike has about 26K on the clock and from what the kid told me when I bought it, besides the exhaust, jets and cosmetics its OEM.

Poking around I see I should replace my CCT's, just need to figure out how to do it....

Welcome to the forum. Nice looking bike you got there. Research the regulator also (R/R). They have a tendency to fail as well as the CCT's.

RR can wait at least temporarily... CCTs gotta go. In 2002 they upgraded the springs so those and newer are less likely to fail.. but based on the cost to risk ratio for a '98 with 26k miles... do them now.
