Re: DFW area Track Day Feb 13 - Cresson TX
I can think of a number of reasons to do the track day instead of your vacation
The CNI Dawg's Top Ten list:
10) will cost you a lot less $ than a foreign vacation
9.) will be more fun
8.) will make you a better rider
7.) make new friends whose names you can both pronounce & remember
6.) Get the video tape option so you can look back in a few years & have
a few laughs (memories are forever)
5.) get pictures of you riding to post on the forum
4.) get to wear seasoned rental race leathers
3.) have something to talk about at work instead of "on my vacation I spent alot of money, got drunk repeatedly, can't remember too much else, & all I have to show for it are these stupid Ju-Ju beads or whatever they're called"
2.) have the confidence of being a skilled rider
AND THE #1 REASON:
1.) Pass Loco in the turns while doing a power wheelie as you come out

Gonna miss you being out there bud!
Have fun & be careful on vacation.
Watch out for those Jamacian's selling that 'wacky tobaccie' mon
P.S. plan on doing the March track day.
I'll borrow an enclosed trailer that will hold 3 bikes.
That will make it easier on us old men :-)

Dawg, your too funny....I like the list, especially #1....
And of course I am not really sure at all what you mean by 'wacky tobaccie' ?? LOL....he he...
yeah, and I can't talk about it at work, cause my dog don't talk back....(Work from Home)..
And really I don't plan on getting drunk repeatedly...I am thinking I will just continue the buzz 24/7 while I am there....lol
seasoned rental race leathers....hmmm is that a nice way of saying smelly, sweeted in, worn out leathers...
Have fun and don't throw a hip.....ahh...that was just wrong....sorry man....

The only question I have is how did you attach the shifter side exhaust connector pipe to the rearset?
There was no provision to attach it like on the stock unit.
Looks like I'll have to make a bracket :-(

Want to do March too.
I need all the help I can get...you know I'm just a little squid on this track stuff
SO I'll be Level 1
Wanta go Feb 13 ?
Well,
You have to cover all lights with tape. And you probably should remove mirror and turn signals.

I'm picking up the trailer tomorrow or Friday.
Prep the bike this weekend.
I'm going out Sunday night & camp overnight to be ready Monday @ 7AM
If you want to come Sunday great. If not I'll haul your bike & meet you Monday AM or whatever.
Are your track day cans lo or hi mount?
When is a good time to get them?
Thx
Bill
They are low mount, and I have all the associated hardware. I will be working on the parts bike all week. I got it down to the frame, wheels, and motor after 2 hours of work on Superbowl Sunday. The rest is pretty tricky, a balancing act for me because I have no stands. Come by anytime today or this weekend and check em out.

Hey Randy,
When are you leaving for the tropics?
You know there is an epidemic of Berry Berry going around.
Maybe you should postpone that trip & come to Track Day with us
