I am looking for single and multiple day rides in Colorado. I'll be in Colorado to ride for two weeks, the last week in June and first week in July. I am looking for suggestions for variuos rides. We plan on using several campgrounds as a base and then taking day rides and maybe even an overniter or two. I need a campground where the truck and trailor will be safe if out riding, especially on overniters. It looks like somewhere near Idaho Springs would be a good base and then somewhere in the southwest, preferable around Durango and maybe even near Buena Vista/Salida area. Any help would be appreaciated. Is there anything special going on duing that time that I should probably make an effort to get to? How about bike nites? If anyone would like to hook up for a day ride that would be cool too.
