VFR750 sometime between '86 and '97. Got gear driven cams and carbs.

Correct! It is the VFR800 motor. Evidently somebody ate their mental wheaties this morning!
As it's got chain-driven cams and FI, it can only be the latest generation (2002-present) version
I'm a wealth of useless knowledge...
v-tec motor
Correct again! It is the VFR800 VTEC motor...just goes to show the board knows its stuff...

I own a '85 VF1000R.....V4 and gear driven cams.....It's a rear tire eater!! Only complaint.....it's heavy as hell!!
Yeh, but its a great sport-tourer. My wife loves hers!
the purpose build asfault eater is what the vfr800 is no matter what year. I just cannot wait to find an exhaust that i like for mine.:evillaugh:
Too easy.
No VTEC on this thing, I see regular cam sprockets.
Edit I checked and it seems that they act on the lifter instead of the cam gear for this thing, interesting http://www.dh5sdl.de/vfr-vtec.jpg |
