Amazing how a grin on your face can change your outlook...

+1 on Aprilia forum. I look for bikes with people who have posted on the forums and have a good reputation as well as their previous threads aren't about the bike they just wrecked and pieced back together. You can't get that on ebay unless you find it posted in both places. With craigslist, I don't buy unless I'm physically looking at the merchandise. If you can't drive/tow it home, I don't buy. Too many scams.

I want to see and ride a bike before I buy it.

I ran the VIN with an Aprilia Dealer:

-Never got photos of title
-Money order only ( unsecured )
-No registration currently not tagged
-Can't register in Califonia until 7500 miles. Doesn't meet CA emissions on the VIN.

This situation is just too sketchy for me.
Not a way to do business.

I'm outta here....improving the Hawk for now.
