April 97 CW test

As promised (to Captain Chaos and RK1), here are the performance stats for the VTR test:

1/4 mile: 10.91 sec. @ 125.88 mph (sorry Capt., guess my memory was optimistic)
0-60 mph: 2.9 sec.

top gear roll-on testing
40-60 mph: 3.5 sec
60-80 mph: 3.5 sec.

top speed: 149.4 mph

braking distances
30-0 mph: 31.0 ft
60-0 mph: 127.7 ft

weight : 452 lbs (with 53% rear bias)

dyno
100.2 hp at 8500 rpm
67.5 lb-ft at 6750 rpm

misc: frame is said to be 40% less rigid than 1996 CBR900RR (in keeping with tuned flex design)

that's all folks

Thanks, mikstr.

So the best ET I've seen is still the Motorcycle.com 10.83 @ 127.32 mph

Article here;

Data a third way down second page;

Most of the times MC mags give "corrected 1/4 mile times" (perfect atmospheric conditions at sea level )

That'a funny because a few months later CW ran a similar 11.01 but got a much better 155mph top end.
