anybody name their bike?

a friend of mine named his sv650 "spyderpig".
because of the song....

"spyderpig.....spyderpig
does whatever a spyderpig does"

says it's not his fault when he's late to work,
late getting home from work, or late for anything
else if he is riding spyderpig.....cuz he's not in
control, spyderpig is.....

yesterday, i took the hawk for a spin to town. was
about a 20 minute trip...i got home 3 hours later and
the whole family was pissed cuz they thought i was
dead.....now i understand the name "spyderpig" and
i hope i can come p w/ something just as clever....

That where you need the cell phones with "friend" GPS. That way they can see if you are still moving!

I named mine "xiao pangtze." Roughly translates as "little fatty." Very apropos, I think.

It was a nickname my friend's mom gave me (jokingly, I think).

Well right now it's called "Dang *@'fu..." piece of...

I haven't really named her... but I am positive she's a she... as she has a bad case of PMS lately...

However as a punishment to us both I have decided that the big teardown that I was going to save, happens now..

I think if you use names you run the chance of using the wrong name at the wrong time or in the wrong company.

I learned this a while back and it kinda pertains to motorcycles in the garage as well. Everytime I open the garage door I hear this argument ensue between the bikes.

"He rode you last, the time before that and the time before that. It's my turn!"

The Superhawk's been on the winning edge of that equation but if the weather holds out maybe I can get a couple days out around the holidays next week. That VFR is almost a barking dog. Munch miles, yum, more miles, munch more.

I'll call ya when I'm lost!

I call mine my "Two wheeled premium powered man missile." The name is especially fitting since I had a ninja 250 before this.

Nah I dont need cases anymore, this happened about 1 year and a half ago. I put the entire engine, from the nuts and bolts stage, back together and in the bike, put the bike back together and put 100 miles on it all in one night. about 10 hours stright only a little bit of food and a few coronas. But the coronas were long gone by the time it was reasy to ride. Then left on a 500 mile bike trip with my dad the next morning.

I've never even thought of naming my bike, or any other bike or car I've ever had. Just seems a little odd to me I guess. I treat cars and bikes like tools. They are there to help me accomplish a task.

I usually refer to it as the VTR. Not too imaginative. If I were to give it a name I would call it "Helen Keller" or "Yeller Helen Keller". Without me it's deaf and blind but when I'm on it I'm the Miracle Worker.
