That be the one. It took a lot of beer to kill the brain cells that remembered that song. Now I gotta do it all over again.

A bit of salt for that wound? :)

"Together forever and never to part, together forever we two,..."

Sorry I jumped in this late - Anybody that doesn't appreciate the absolute rush you get out of snowmobiling (that's riding like a savage w/out the booze..), needs to get out on a new modern sled (particularly a REV or IQ) and hammer down through some fresh poder or groomed trails. Someone said earlier that it's (and yes dare I say it too???) better than riding bikes. I dare say yes it is. There's more freedom out on the trails, the sleds have obscene acceleration and handling, and you can launch a sled 20 feet and touch down nice as pie. Don't get me wrong, I love riding bikes, have been for years - but get on a good sled and cut loose, you guys will see what I mean. Besides, what the hell else are you going to do in upstate NY in the Winter??? Greg, call me - I'll take you out for a ride this weekend.....

ghopki1 02-27-2008 04:42 AM

It takes a good portion of street, off-road bike, and ATV for me to be a happy man......

Only downside to that is the maintenance on 5 machines....

Cleveland 02-27-2008 05:17 AM

I havent gone more than three days without riding in or around since I bought my 'hawk two years ago...

Cleveland 02-27-2008 05:18 AM

only thing that keeps me off is rain... rain here in the winter sucks.. not like snow, where you go in and shake it off and are dry... rain just plain old makes you wet.

We're no strangers to love
You know the rules and so do I
A full commitment's what I'm thinking of
You wouldn't get this from any other guy

I just wanna tell you how I'm feeling
Gotta make you understand

Never gonna give you up, never gonna let you down
Never gonna run around and desert you
Never gonna make you cry, never gonna say goodbye
Never gonna tell a lie and hurt you

you're an ass..

SHIT! Now it's in MY head, too...

Cleveland 02-27-2008 06:48 AM

here you go.. replace Astly with ABBA...

You can dance, you can jive, having the time of your life
See that girl, watch that scene, dig in the Dancing Queen

Friday night and the lights are low
Looking out for the place to go
Where they play the right music, getting in the swing
You come in to look for a king
Anybody could be that guy
Night is young and the music's high
With a bit of rock music, everything is fine
You're in the mood for a dance
And when you get the chance...

You are the Dancing Queen, young and sweet, only seventeen
Dancing Queen, feel the beat from the tambourine
You can dance, you can jive, having the time of your life
See that girl, watch that scene, dig in the Dancing Queen

You're a teaser, you turn 'em on
Leave them burning and then you're gone
Looking out for another, anyone will do
You're in the mood for a dance
And when you get the chance...

You are the Dancing Queen, young and sweet, only seventeen
Dancing Queen, feel the beat from the tambourine
You can dance, you can jive, having the time of your life
See that girl, watch that scene, dig in the Dancing Queen

Just for 2 years. Last duty station before I retire, then will probably move back to St. Louis or somewhere in the Blue Ridge Mtns.

How soon till then (i.e., LDS)?

Hawkrider 02-27-2008 08:03 PM

I've got another 2 years up here in snowland. That's okay, when the riding season hits the riding is very good.

jbaxx 02-27-2008 09:37 PM

About 80 degrees in So Cal today. Don't hate the 'playa...

FL02SupaHawk996 02-28-2008 06:03 AM

I want to ride more in South Dakota, so I do my part by spraying all my aerosol cans

RickB 02-28-2008 08:52 AM

Got any R12 Freon laying around? That helps global warming... or so they claim.

I rode a bit last night, not much, but it was good to get out.

As for R12, the jokes on the environmentalists, as R134a is worse than R12 for the environment.. What happened is that Dupont's patent ran out on R12 and other people would have been able to make it, so Dupont's lobbyists got their new product R134a set to be what we had to use under the guise of being green.
