1000r

i understand taking the stickers off a bike to make it look clean...but can someone explain to my why many of the Superhawks out there put decals on from other bikes? i see far too many 1000R stickers...my bike with the Jardines kinda sounds like a Ducati but i am not gonna put Ducati logos on it.

It looks cool and its a VTR 1000 "V-Twin-Race" 1000cc so why not? They don't make a sticker 996R

The 1000R comes from Tapeworks for the RC51. I like 'em and have thought about getting a set.

Oh yeah... Here's one to prove that there are some very uninformed people out there... lol...
The young lady (16-18 ) leans out the side of the car and asks... "Is that a scooter?"

How would you respond??? 8)

I saw a Chevy Blazer with a two foot wide Ford logo in the rear window (?!)I saw a Z28 with a f&%#ing VTEC badge on it the other day. I have a '72 Vette and had an old lady ask me "Is that the new Porsche?" And yes I got chased down by a guy down the street from my folks house in his suburban after installing some D&D's on my superhawk because he loved the sound of "my Ducati." So 1000R decals are not THAT far off for a superhawk.

Besides it's nothing new. Remember when everyone with a 4 cyl mustang put "5.0" badges on the fender? "ZR1" logos on their regular Vette. Seen plenty of "AMG" Mercedes and plenty of "M3" BMWs. I could go on and on. You don't need to spend the extra 30k, just add a badge! Drive around in Boca for awhile everyone wants to be special...

Sure there's an "F" at the end (for faired I guess) but whats the "R" for in VTR? People do race them, then again they race lawn mowers too :P

I don't think its that far off if any. The Hawk could be an "R" and the RC51 an "RR"

1000 looks more impressive than a measly 996 ha ha

Maybe if we put 1300R on then you could bitch
