Anybody else not getting the reply notification? I'm not and where's the smiley's?

 

Go into your control panel (click on "User CP" up on the top menu bar), then click on "Edit Options" and make sure that in the Default Thread Subscription Mode section, "Instant e-mail notification" is selected. Then click "Save Changes" down at the bottom of that page.

While you're in there, check to make sure that the correct Time Zone is selected.

The smileys are on the right hand side when you're posting a thread... You don't see them?

 

Just got my first notification but I already did the changes yesterday you suggested and didn't get any from the other thread. No I don't see any smileys on my post page.

 

Go into your control panel again, click on "Edit Options". Down at the bottom, check to see what you have to "Message Editor Interface". Make sure it's either "Standard Editor" or "Enhanced Editor". If it's "Basic Editor" you won't have the smilies on the side.

 

:-D Ok that's fixed but I'm still not getting notification from the other threads. I'm getting them from this one but not the others.

 

Are they threads from before we converted to this software? If so, you're not going to get those... You can re-subscribe to threads you want notifications for by opening the thread, then click on "Thread Tools" and click on "Subscribe to this thread".

 

Nope, brand new thread, the we're back thread.

 

It says I'm subscribed to it but no notifications.

 

Odd.

One more thing for you to check... Go to your control panel again, click on where it says "New Subscribed Threads". Then click on "View all Subscribed Threads". Make sure that thread is listed there, and that it says "Instant" over on the right hand side.

If it's there and it looks right, try unsubscribing from the thread and then subscribe to it again.

 

Strange, it said I was subscribed but none was selected for notification. That must have been it, thanks for the help, I'll try it out and see what happens.
