I dont' know what they are, we haven't figured out what they are, and obviously you care because you posted about it. 
Basically this portal mod is geared toward some type of pay/rewards site and the points are some iteration of that. I actually liked the portal enough to try and install it. Once it became clear it won't work with MS SQL Server I hit the delete button.

I tried to explain it, but we got a bit off topic. :P This particular portal software seems to be geared toward some type of "pay me" type site for doing/browsing things. Since I'm guessing most of us aren't into that weird subculture, it's gonna be completely foriegn to us. (besides, we spend too much time talking about weird database stuff!)

Ok, I still don't understand. Being slow, I need an explanation in the format of:
"Points are accumulated every time you [insert explanation here] but don't serve any useful purpose."
I have 54 posts, but only 9 points with no idea how I got them, but "sburggsx" has more points than posts [46 posts, 51 points].
What is he doing more often than posting?
