Why do I keep watching crash video's????

For some reason, I keep catching myself sitting at the computer at home, bored out of my mind, and typing things like "motorcycle lowside", "motorcycle highside", "motorcycle wheelie crash", and other crazy stuff like that into the YouTube search bar....

WTF?

Does anybody else ever watch those?

I sure wish I would stop... I watch them, then see stuff I don't wanna see, then close the webpage.. lol sure would save time to just stop huh?

I do, I find them entertaining and instructive you know let some one else have an idiot moment so I can learn from it and not do it. At least with some of the silly stunting accidents there are so many vids of. Some just make me laugh.

I watch them all of the time! They are definitely entertaining and are sometimes informative. 90% of the crash videos I watch are motorcycle operator error, 9.99% are cager error, but the motorcyclist could of avoided it.

I like watching race video. I like watching "save" clips. I avoid crash videos like the plague, unless it's some moron in shorts, tank top and sneakers fooking up his wheelie, burnout or some other Beavis and Butthead stunt. I get a kick out of those.

its a guy thing! my wife hates them - she won't even watch them for fear of seeing someone crash. who knows what the draw is. but its why americas funniest videos is still running on tv. morbid curiousity. but its spring - just go out and ride now.

Its a simple 2 step process to stop doing this...

Step 1 - turn off the computer
Step 2 - get on Superhawk and enjoy the ride!

You make very good points there...

I didn't get a chance to ride today... Thinking about hopping on it for a quick spin, but the last time I took a quick spin on a sunday, the bike returned home on a truck.. lol

Although I probably should.. Its gonna rain Monday, and Tuesday I'm dropping it off at the Honda dealer for the 1st service. They are closed Wednesday, so I'm expecting I'll pick it up on Thurs/Fri sometime, then depending on when I get it home, I'll be removing the forks to get them shipped out either Friday or Monday to Greg to get them worked over. I'm assuming about 2 day shipping time each way, so at best, I'm looking to have them back from Greg by the following weekend at the soonest... which is probably unlikely... early the following week is probably more like it...

So... 2-3 weeks in the truck i guess... (at 3.80 per gallon for premium, and 12-14 mpg) YAH !

Truck gas mileage really sucks doesn't it... I went to Carlisle PA for a few days for the spring car show/swap meet and spent $140 in gas for the complete trip . Last year was about $115 for the same trip... Best prices I saw on the way down were $3.53. The '05 Avalanche Z71 does get 20 or a tad better on a good trip but more like 14 for everyday driving. Fortunately it is happy with 87 octane

Oh well on the bright side I did get the 'Hawk out for a ride today before the weather goes bad for a few days.

This vid is pretty incredible, esp. since nobody got seriously hurt.

Supermonie... that was good.

I like this one. Sweet sounding Ducati, but I'd like to think I'd never do this...
