Where's Obama?
A ship flying the US flag was boarded by pirates in international waters and it's captain is being held hostage, but there has not yet been one word out of Obama. This is a man who doesn't pass up an opportunity to get on camera, so where is he?

The US Navy was originally formed by the "Naval Act of 1794" to combat piracy off the Barbary Coast of the Mediterranean Sea. This is the first US flagged ship to be boarded by pirates in 200 years.

I don't even know your political stance, but just your questioning ragging on a new democratic president without simply just piling on implies you will not like these threads and that you may actually think about politics rather than reacting on a lower brainstem function to guide yourself. And yes if someone boarded my ship uninvited, they would get a face full of 12 gauge while they climbed up the side.
Won't be long before the Insurance companies either get their own army together to combat this or pull strings to get the coast guard back in water and off terra firma Iraqa/Kuwaita.

I think just about every blues guitar player has recorded that one, and at least several claimed credit for writing it as well.

Yeah, but Johnson recorded it in 1936 so I'll guess he deserves the credit.
I didn't grow up in Ca. and wasn't old enough to pay attention to music until the 60s. Late 60s rock and roll bands rescued the blues and gave these guys a second lease on life and some money too. I went to high school outside of Philly in the late 60s early 70s. Stations played way more Motown/R&B than the NYC area we'd moved from but little or no real blues.
Lived in Minneapolis in the late 70s. More blues clubs than any other kind.
Saw Buddy Guy, Son Seals, Koko Taylor, Albert King and half a hundred other greats in a club that held maybe 250 people. Eight Grain Belt draft beers for a dollar! Those were good times.

Wow, what a bunch of crap. I guess you think Obama should be responsible for everything that happens world wide... He is on Air Force One returning home from Iraq where he was loved by the troops. RK1 and VTsurfer are a couple of conservatives who take a shot at Obama every chance they get. Never mind the facts or reality of the situation... Typical red neck republicans who will probably denounce their party and claim to be independent. Not fooling anyone are they. Maybe the shipping industry should hire Blackwater to protect these ships. they fucked up in Iraq so I say put them on every ship within 1000 miles of Somalia. I'm a sailor and hate pirates except Jimmy Buffet's kind. But don't try to blame Obama for this fiasco. Things are far better now than they were under Bush, recession and all. Obama is all over the world apologizing for how badly our country treats others, yet this ship is supposedly loaded with food for humanitarian aid to African nations. I'm sick of liberals telling us what ******** we are as a nation.

That is what people are wanting to know. Where is his press release? Does he intend to allow the Piracy to happen Ships flying American flags. The sinking of a ship with American passengers was all it took to get us into WWII.
If Obama is not bad in your opinion, what has he done that is worthwhile?
