The thanks you get....

for trying to help a moron...

Found this on eBay:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...TQ:MOTORS:1123

So, as this listing is clearly wrong, I kindly e-mailed the chap and informed him of thet error. This is the reply I got:

Hello,
I wanted to thank you for your email. I always find it amuzing when someone emails me and tells me I'm wrong about a part I have listed. I realize you are from Canada, but if anyone should be doing some homework it would be you, not me. I personally took this bike apart and I know for a fact that this part came from a 98 cbr900rr. The cbr900 had inverted forks and if you look at any picture of a 98 cbr900 you would know that. Here is a link of the exact same bike that this fork leg came from and it clearly shows that the forks are inverted http://www.tapeworks.com/HONDA%20Pages/1114.html
feel free to copy and paste that link into your search engine and it will show that you are wrong. I might suggest that you might do your homework before you make an *** out of yourself by emailing me and acting like you know something when you clearly do not. I have a picture of the bike that this fork came from and I have the frame up for sale that this fork came from and the sticker on the frame clearly says 1998 on it. So don't email me giving me info on something that you clearly do not know anything about. Thanks Dwight

Don't worry, you were right on this one - I can back you up. It's funny that the link the dude gave you CLEARLY shows conventional forks. I had to laugh at that one. I'll be sure to put him on my "do not buy from" list. Thanks for letting me know about it.

Well.. you should take some satisfaction in the fact that the item is no longer there. The auction was ended with "The seller ended this listing early because of an error in the listing."

Yeah, that was the clincher for me...

Anyhow, in his defense, he ate up a healthy helping of humble pie and messaged me back acknowledging his error after I bombarded him with links supporting my point.

and so life goes on.....

at least he sacked up and admitted it to you, I guess.
