That is VFR is a monster! How in the world could you hold on with just your fingertips after unleashing that much torque???

uh, it's a long ways from an i4, it's a V4. Hence the VFR

Very popular thread there; been purged a few times to keep it manageable.

Yes it's V-Four. With the blower, it should out torque the 'hawk but at what expense we shall see. He's trying to keep it real world and eventually sell kits.

That looks pretty slick to me. There is probably some money to be made if marketed....

It could be done to a VTR, but not with the stock crankshaft... Of course, there is also the issue of getting the carbs to work with the boost (although it can be done as Yamaha proved on the early 80's Seca Turbo).

I've been following it too, even though I don't have a viffer...

I remember when that thread was started. Yes, I was a member over there before here. He's trying to keep it pretty tidy and get them marketed and the last I heard he was going to be testing out a VTEC VFR. Some people hate the vtec some like it. I didn't mind it tho, it was almost like a kick in the pants when it engaged. That said, if you were going in between 6.5k-7.5k RPM it kinda sucked going in and out.

He's done some wonderful work on that machine and not to mention it's almost all handcrafted.
