Something I couldn't pass up

Well,

I was on the lookout for another Superhawk after she and I had a threesome with a deer (I was the only one that walked away)... but I ran across this and couldn't pass it up.

It already has framesliders, zero gravity windshield, flushmounts, wicked cans, undertail, and a PowerCommander! The bars aren't perfectly straight which makes me think it's been down, but Carfax says it's only got one record - I'm guessing the original owner.

HOT DAYM does this thing pull like mad, even a mile up! I just couldn't pass up this fuel injected WICKED V-twin. To boot, my girlfriend (who rides and loves harleys) is jealous of that sweeeeeeeeeeeet sweet exhaust roar.

I listed the spares I had in the freebies thread, and will probably lurk around here. You all have been great on the mods threads!

Rubber side down, and furry side off the road

Congratulations! Sweet ride.

It seems to me that a lot of us SH owners spend a boat load of $ trying to make our vtr's into rc-51s. You did it the cheaper way.

Let's go ride this summer, I'm in Berthoud.

That's a sweet ride, can't blame you one bit for snatching that up. Still a V-twin and still a Honda!!!

Isn't that half the fun though!

Sweet ride though man, it came down to the $ between an RC and VTR, and the economy dictated the SH!

looks like you picked up quite a specimen!

I really want an RC51, but i REALLY can't justify another sportbike.

Need something comfy. Wife and I want to do longer trips. I'm actually considering a goldwing

Sloblue... I agree on the making SH's into RC's. When I looked at all I wanted to do to a SH it just made sense to get the RC instead. Of course it's not the most comfortable thing out there - especially since I'm 6'7". But after test riding that and a VFR - the VFR felt like an underpowered recliner on 2 wheels. Not that I'd be able to take either bike to it's limits but the heart wants what the heart wants!

Saige - my old superhawk is long gone after the accident. The adjuster didn't even look at the forks/frame and came up with $8k in damage.

Stevebis1 - that IS a new helmet! With an all black bike I needed something to brighten it up. It was that green or neon yellow, and since the leathers are green/white...
