I have a KOSO RX1N gauge that unfortunately wouldn't read the tach properly on my 96VFR750F. If you want to check with their tech support and see if it will work with your bike, I'll sell it. All the other functions worked perfectly including the fuel gauge.

I was looking at that unit for my latest project but the price scared me away.
As does your comment about not being able to get the tach to work properly.
On my VTR I'm using 929 gauges but they will be a PITA as Scumbag so correctly stated, but it was worth it.
Now I'm looking at Trail Tech's Vapor which is what I have on my Supermoto XR.
It has an unbelieveable amount of features and they also offer an idiot light adaptor/holder that you can set up for whatever you want. Neutral/oil/turn etc.
Total cost about $160.00.
I'll give you a report once I have it installed, but please don't hold your breath, I got a long ways to go on my project.
