Taking suggestions for a new FREE image hosting site. Photobucket is looking to collect money and I won't pay.



If anyone comes across a thread of mine that will not display photos hosted by photobucket, LMK. After I pick a host, I'll fix what I can.

 

I have not done anything about the issue yet either. IM NOT PAYING
There are hundreds of articles and likely thousands of posts of mine that have broken links now...And there is not much i can do about it.

I'll migrate my stored pics to a different server and if and when someone tells me I have broken link I'll fix that one.
Ive gone back and forth over the years on uploading to the site (has its draw backs when that site goes down, the pics are gone as well) and third party hosting (as we are seeing now a significant issue)

 

Photobucket is a POS !

Major pain.

 

Moot point now as they have disabled third party linking unless you pay $500 a month... Other than those that can wrote it off as a business expense or have more $$$ than brains, no one doing that.

 

Can't say I'm surprised. I would love to just delete my account. If you right click and choose open in new tab (etc) the pics will show.
I'd like to find a free host so I can restore some of the more frequented posts, like the R/R thread.

 

SmugMug is one that is being suggested on many forums

 

I have some pictures of the bike I'm building that I would like to show. . Is there a way of sharing them to the post?

 

You can attach them here in your post.
Start a post and scroll down to the Manage Attachments tab.

 

I just signed up for smugmug. It tells me I have 2 weeks free...

 

How about drop box?

 

Its $4 a month if you pay for a year so $48 a year
pretty cheap and a LOT cheaper than photocrapbucket wanted
