already put this up in the PWNT

Why I moved from NC: was supposed to 'register as an arsenal' - more than 10 guns or 10K rounds, lol

Now the feds will know exactly what to look for when the gun confiscations start. They have been drilling for exactly this scenario lately. It's for our own good, ya know.

No, I did a bunch of modifications to it... google something like "how I made my P-22 not suck" it should be some ar-15 forum or something like that. Anyway, if you do those things to it... It becomes one of the best pea-shooters that you will ever own. then get the Suppressor for it, and you are all set. Sounds like a bb gun on crack.

Very, I just had to pay the ATF tax stamp of $200, plus the document fees, and get a signature from the Chief LEO of my area stating that they know I have it, and that they are not against it. Plus the cost of the actual suppressor too... its a PITA to get it all legal, but it is indeed possible.

On a side note, no one has revolvers anymore? I've always wanted one.

I have a few, but I don't shoot 'em much any more. Revolvers are great carry and backup guns because of their utter reliability and idiot proof design. They just don't hold much ammo.

Sorry no pics of the arsenal but in revolvers I have a S&W model 25 Mountain, it's a big frame 45LC and a model 29 SS 44mag both in 6".
I do prefer the simplistic accuracy of a revolver, but that would start another thread.

I dont have it in the pictures, but I have a Ruger SP-101 .357/.38spl 5 Shot revolver...

That is my stay-at-home protection weapon. It is very idiot proof, and is nearly indestructible...

I like revolvers because they are "point and click" The only safety on my revolver is my finger, or lack of ammo

Yeah. I own more pistols than revolvers, but the handgun within reach as we sleep is a Smith 57, a 4" 41 mag.

Exactly, when you are groggy in the middle of the night, you want the first action you make to be one of defense not "click, oh ****-safety (politely asking the intruder to hold on while you take it off safe), oh... okay now we're good... click-bang...

As long as we're drilling down on theory and philosophy here, I'll elaborate on my own.

In normal circumstances, fully conscious and aware of what's going on, I prefer single action pistols, my 1911s and HiPowers. I shoot/practice often and consider myself competent with them. I sleep with a handgun between the headboard and the mattress.

I worry a bit about bumping off a safety and tuned trigger while asleep.

Not gonna happen with the .41 magnum. Besides, it's loaded with 170 grain Sierra hollow points at 1500 fps, shot for shot more potent than any practical semi.

If some shitbird makes it to the foot of my bed, it's what I want in my hand. If I hear somebody at the other end of the house, the handgun is just what I cover myself with as I walk 15 feet to the safe for the 12 gauge or the CAR. That is all.

Here's one for ya

Cobray M11/9. Full-auto, 1200RPM (legally registered in MO). It's got a 32 round mag and will dump the whole thing in just under two seconds. Not the ideal home defense gun but I keep a SA 1911 close by for that.

what kind of neighbourhoods do you people live in where you are always thinking about someone breaking in?

i have no problem with weapons, as i have two katanas hanging off my wall. (too much hassle to get a weapon in socialist Canada), but i never think of someone B&A and me reaching for the blades...

It's not like that for me. I live in a safe place. Don't worry about it much, just like being prepared in case.

I don't think about my house catching fire all the time either, but I've got a fire extinguisher and property insurance nonetheless.
