Got a workmate

Anyone remember these little gems? Sturdy workbench that folds down flat to store. It has a vise and tabletop.

Thought they stopped making them, my dad had one when I was a little kid. Just scored one at a garage sale for $10!

Perfect for the guy with a packed garage who needs a work bench.

Sold one my brother left in the garage about a year or two ago on CL. At the time they were still making them, but the weight rating on the new ones was lighter. Probably should have held onto it...

As a kid, mine always fell apart. I suppose it was due to me using it for something it was not made for. They always felt...chintzy to me with all the plastic parts (not dumping on it though!).

Stepped up to the Jaw Horse, well, the Rigid equivalent anyways. Works fantastic. Sooooo many uses. I know it's not also a little portable table though.

My buddy has a Jaw Horse that we use at work and I have, like I mentioned, the Rigid equivalent (can't remember the name of the dang thing). Using the two back to back, do yourself a flavor and get the original Jaw Horse if you will be getting some heavy use out of it. Sure, it's heavier than the Rigid one, but it's built better and it lasts.
