Argumentative Essay Topics?

I am in my senior year at my high school. My second semester just started and in my English class we have a "Senior Exit" project. I need to choose a topic that is either argumentative or supporting a call to action. What is needed is a 8-10 page essay, a product that has at least 15 hours put into it, a portfolio to present to a review board, and a oral presentation.

I would love to pick a topic that has something to do with motorcycles, because it is something I love. I will be working on this project for approximately 6 months so I need a topic that I wouldn't get bored of, my reason for wanting to do something involving motorcycles.

If anyone has had to do something like this before, any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Zy

How about the dangers and distractions of American roadways? You could talk about saftey measures, laws, enforcement or lack of enforcement of laws, driver's education, vehicle safety standards...perhaps relate this to the American motorcyclist.

Helmet laws. They have always been controversial. Add to that the fact that you could include some really nasty pics in your Powerpoint to really get the crowd going.

You could try interviewing actor Gary Busey and see how slamming his unprotected head into a cement curb has somehow dulled his anti-helmet zealousness...

If I wanted to interview someone...it would be Billy Lane. I have many questions for him.
