That SUCKS!!! Been there before though... last winter i was bidding on a winch bumper for my truck that I was like the only one bidding on until the last hour or so... so a couple min before ending, i went on to log a much higher high bid in, but the internet was acting up, and by the time i got the computer working, and the bid placed, when i confirmed bid, it was over.. so i lost it, and i was willing to pay WAY more than it sold for...

I wonder if it was somebody on here who won it or just another guy? Nobody else really posted saying they where gonna compete for it or anything.. Man would that ever be a dick move...

 

Check this out, I was also bidding on the lower but did'nt win. I just got an Email saying that I did win via default for 130 bucks including shipping. Anyone else get a mail like that? Heres the cut & paste of the message.....

Thats a scam man.. I don't know how/why... but i do LOTS of selling on ebay, and ebay wouldn't have rejected a buyer for no payment without the seller filing a complaint about a buyer... but since the auction just ended, there is no way that would have happened... Also, when a buyer doesn't come through, the item is only offered to a lesser buyer with the sellers personal request, which is called "second change offer", which typically would only be offered to the next highest bidder....

I don't know how that scam would work unless they got you to pay to another paypal or something, but surely doesn't sound lagit.....

BTW.. which ebay log in was you? just curious... i wasn't bidding as i just bought one of these a couple weeks back...

 

I was 69ssndfuture. I had high bid for a short time. I told ebay about it so we will see what happens.

 

I just went back and looked at the auction, there was no immediate payment required or anything, so the winner could not possibly have screwed anything up.. surely a scam...

 

I got the same email, I sent the seller a message through eBay about it.

i'm guessing this guy has a deal with sharkskinz to buy them cheap or something... either that or he is scamming people... but i'm guessing with the positive feedback, that he's a reseller of them...

somebody shoot a message to him looking for a GROUP BUY price... I'm sure we can get 10 people or so together on the site who are interested in this lower at a discounted price

I got the same e-mails appears to be a scam. I will also report to e-bay and see if it will do anything.

 

So, who won it....

I think it went from $50 to $167 in the last minute.......LOL...

 

I just hope that it is not a scam....
