Blue GSXR1000 6-pot calipers on eBay

Not mine or anyone I know.

Clean set of 02 GSXR1000 Tokico 6-pot front calipers painted blue for $97 on eBay.

They're a bolt-on mod for those that don't know.

FWIW, while they offer more visible bling than the Nissin 4-pots used on the last of the axial-mount Honda CBR (and RC51) units, they are inferior bits..... money would be better spent on the latter if one is looking to upgrade....

Mikstr, what's that assessment based on? Personal experience? And, when you say inferior, inferior to what? Worse than the CBR/RC51, but better than the SuperHawk?

I have a set to mount as I read they were a good braking upgrade and I do love how they look (the most important factor in any decision).

I remember reading their pistons stick a lot, and they require momitoring because of that...

that is one of the problems..... many GSXR owners of said years upgraded to the Honda Nissins due to their superior quality and performance (BTW, aforementioned Nissins are generally considered to be among the best OEM calipers every offered). Sorry if this comes as unwelcome news, but do some searching on Google and you'll see; I did this very research some years ago when I was looking at both options ......

Well, ****. In all my reading about using these, I never happened upon that info. Thanks both of you for the input.

I had some of the 6 pot... they were ok in grab... but required rebuild to fix a sticking piston.. worked fine after that but I sold um off and went CBR Nissan Loaded with Vesrah RJL pads, it was an improvement above the 6 pot for me.

I wouldn't worry too much if you already bought them and decide not to use them as they should be pretty easy to sell on ebay. I had a set I bought for cheap off ebay (as in .99 with free shipping) but it was too good to be true as they turned out to be off a zrx or zx9 and the mounting was a little different. They were gone pretty quickly for decent money when I relisted them.

Damn captain, that made me throw up in my mouth a little.

I'm still going to mount them up and give them a try. I've read plenty that they are an improvement over stock.

Sorry haha I figured if I googled custom Hayabusa it would be the easiest way to find a ghetto $hitbox with a missing caliper and rotor on the front wheel.

That's not due to a lack of rude, insensitive color-biased comments on my part.

There's no need for your rude, insensitive color-biased comments.
