what kind of power will you get out of adding cams?

 

Are those Stage 1 cams? I picked up a set of those (eBay) and had them installed in my VTR (re-timed them by 2 degrees on the exhaust to move the power down the rpm curve slightly). Putting those in, along with shaving the heads 0.015" and having the ports done got me 8 hp and 6.7 ft-lbs on dyno.

 

Did the cams require new valve springs? I was planning on that but it would be nice if I didn't need to. I'm also thinking about +1mm valves and if so I'll probably go with the whole ball of wax at that time.

 

Mine are set up with stock springs.
