I'm piecing together a '98 VTR I just bought and need a few things. This is my first VTR and second bike in 15 years. Looking for anything you guys can help with. I need some odds and ends you may have laying around.

Here's a list of some things I need.

FOUND - Bar weights. OEM is ok but I don't have the OEM inserts or ends. Aftermarket ones would be ok too. My grips hang 1/2" over the handle bar end. Does that mean the handle bar was shortened? If so I need bars too.

Shifter lever. PO fixed mine with a bolt and fuel hose. Tacky.

Clutch cover. PO's JB-welded the cracks. It's leaking.

OEM Mirrors. Both mine are broken.

PENDING - All 4 turn signals. OEM are fine.My fronts are flush and they suck. My rears are both broken.

Lower motor faring. Mine is MIA.

Foot pegs. I have aftermarket round billet ones I don't care for. Trade for nice OEM ones?

Chain adjusters. Apperently the PO stripped the heads and welded on big nuts. Looks tacky.

Other then these items, she's almost complete. I bought new grips, clutch and brake levers, polished the V&H pipes, plugs, filter, oil change, lube and adjusted cables. Still have to paint it but haven't decided on the color. It's blue now and the color is growing on me.

 

I'll trade stock rear signals for your flush mounts. Also interested in trading oem pegs for aftermarket, depending on color.

 

My flush mounts are damaged and the pegs are silver.

Well yeh... That's the easy way and it doesn't help anyone here. I'd rather pay the forum members then a random ebay seller.

Ironically, the first link in those results is a guy 100 miles from me in a town in the middle of Nowhere, Illinois.

 

mirrors are hard to find on here in ok to good condition.thats about the best you can get for the price.
