Looking for an OEM seat cowl / cover. My '98 Italian Red Super Hawk was missing it when I bought it. I bought one of the new Chineseium ones off AliExpress and it's just crap. Terrible fit.

Doesn't matter what color, it is as I'm re-painting the plastics anyway thanks to a couple of cracks in the mid fairings..

 

Original Honda cowls come up on eBay. There's a black one that looks a bit rough and a yellow one that looks pretty good on there now. All three tabs appear intact on both. There's also a black one with a broken tab.

The yellow one will be the faster.

yeah, wasn’t going to drop $100 + the ride for one.

I ended up ordering one off eBay from vtr1000f’s reply.

 

So I'm clear on this, "the yellow one looks good". Really?

 

The seat cover / cowl, yes, though I don't see it now. Not the rear tail / cowl. That's a piece of ****. But, at least it's not red.

 

Honda stopped actually making this stuff years ago. With stuff like this I'd call ahead of time to be sure they actually have it because several times in the past I've ordered stuff like this from Ronayers or Partzilla only to get an email a week later saying it's discontinued and they don't actually have it in stock (and probably haven't for a very long time).

I managed to score one on eBay. I am in process of repainting the whole bike so color didn’t really matter. The paint that I ordered is just off enough from the factory red (despite ordering the correct paint code.) that I can’t skip anything. I’m finished with the fairings. I need to tackle the tank, fenders, and belly pan next warm day we get.

 

FYI Captain I’ve managed to buy some various parts off their website over the last couple years, including my red seat cowl. I guess maybe it just depends on what you’re looking for…? Paint job/bike is looking good brother! 🤙🏻
