WTB Full Titanium/Unobtainium Moriwaki Stage 1 Exhaust

Stop that laughing cuz I know who you are! Okay, I admit it's a long shot, but I've gotta try

If anybody has any ideas where I can find a Mori Stg 1 system please let me know.

Thanks,
RC

call big valley honda parts and find someone who knows- they used to import mori. or try tom in parts at sierra bmw (i know, sounds odd) he was able to me exhaust, rearsets and bellypan over the years. finally search ebay japan or yahoo japan - use this company called rinkya - they broker these deals&shipping- at a cost that can b high. worth a try. but give tom a shout. finally the guy roger in the UK evoluzion racing or something like that. good luck- they r nice systems but the price had gone outragous I b'lieve

Thanks Pimpster, I'm trying to stay away from carbon fiber cuz I don't want them to blow up and I really like the look of the titanium patina...RC

I think he meant Roger Ditchfield at Revolution Racing, the UK importer for Moriwaki

yep, thanks Mikstr

Are you still running that modified filter/airbox setup and would you recommend it with a Stg 1 motor?

Still running the modified airbox (Burnie Morgan mod, severly gutted snorkel and two 1" holes in upper lid close to front) and filter. I have no dyno time to confirm any possible improvement in outright power but throttle response is super-crisp so that`s good enough for me

I have not rejetted per se but I have played around with my Flo-Commander, however (which gives the same result).

okay, Thanks for the info Mate!

I may try it on my stock motor before the stg 1 motor goes in to see how it acts with current setup

Cheers,

BTW, if I may ask, why are you searching for a Mori exhaust if your bike already has an Erion full system? I would imagine the gains to be had from the switch to a Mori system would be relatively negligible (granted I may be totally wrong too)

Aesthetics! I know that you are right, but I like the look of the hi mount colored titanium mori zero cans. I know there are other cans out there that look the same, but not sure I could get high mount slip-ons to mate up with my Erion headers

Any and all alternative ideas are greatly appreciated!

Its all about hens teeth, I tell ya. Find a set and its just that cool. It may even be the equivelant of discovering a t-rex fossil.

He he...

Here are the part numbers. Maybe you can get a group buy together and Moriwaki will set up a short run. Bob was surprised there weren't a couple on the shelf in Japan.

Part # s for the VTR1000F high mount full exhaust:

01810-LD508-00 ( VTR1000F Full Exh, Full Ti, ANO Canister)

01810-LJ508-00 ( VTR1000F Full Exh, Full Ti, White Ti Canister)

The ANO canisters are the rainbow colored ones.

I was a little lazy, but what if you got to of the ixil L2X "cans" You would have to drill the rivets for the left side and cut and move the bracket, but it could be "cool". By which I mean Obnoxious.

That's good.

If it's not fun, it's not worth doing. Like most things in life.
