WTB: full system
I realize this is a long shot but I thought I'd nonetheless try my luck so if anyone has (or knows of anyone who has) a full aftermarket exhaust system for the Superhawk/Firestorm (preferences lying with M4, Akrapovic, Moriwaki) they want to part with, please advise.
cheers

Get them to whip up a batch of M4 clones!!!! Here is what I found on the Ozfirestorm site:
"with my last lot of runs, i've hit 112rwhp, and a massive 78ft of torque, and the only engine/performance mods to date are a HRC jet-kit, and M4 full race system" (posted by a chap called nakedchef, known to our colleague Shayne)
Good enough for you? It is for me!!!!!!

Crazy expensive but you can find Akrapovic full systems:

this is the best deal i've been able to find on a system....still way too much.
if someone knows of a cheaper one or willing to part with theirs for reasonable price, please let me know!

I just bought one for $1100 CAN (or about $950 USD), a bit steeper than I would have liked but it is basically brand new. I got tired of looking aimlessly and decided to take the leap. Now it's done!

I think $950 USD is about as good as you could do. Don't ask me why. I remember when a full system for any bike was a max of $229 MSRP.

That will pretty well be it. Short of building a full-on race engine (and bike), I will have gone about as far as I can go while keeping it streetable (lightened flywheel, velocity stacks, aluminum clutch plates, magnesium wheels, both suspensions done, cams, ported heads, brakes, braced swingarm, lightened rear brake rotor, chain oiler, undertail, Flo-Commander, Jamie D shift lever with needle bearing,...). Oversize valves would be one possibility but I want to ensure the power stays especially strong in the mids and going to larger valves wouild cause it to shift up in the rpm range. Other possibilites would be Carillo rods and FCR carbs but I would need really sweet deals to even consider those (again, not buildig a race engine).
