WTB or borrow? straight sub-frame
To keep my mind busy, and since I'm setup for it, I'm going to make an aluminum sub-frame for a member. To expedite this, I need a known straight sub-frame. I cannot use the one on my bike, because it was bent in a crash by the previous owner, which I bent back, so it's not perfect. I need to find a perfect, straight sub-frame to make the jig. Of course I could hit up eBay, but you never know what you're going to get. I trust you guys more.
To be honest, I really only need to borrow the sub-frame to make the jig. So, maybe we could work something out? I can't recall seeing in the rules anything about asking to possibly borrow something, so I hope this is okay to even ask.
If all goes well, then I'll have a jig setup to duplicate them.
An aluminum fairing stay is next on the short list. I have a perfect stock fairing stay for that jig.

Awesome! I await your PM.
I originally had a joke in there about weight loss, Richard Simmons, and bike parts But, decided it wasn't very tasteful.
I have a postage scale, so once completed, we can see how much weight an aluminum piece saves for the almighty Carbon Express
